What ages do you take?

We care for children from 3 months to 4 years old.

Where is the nursery?

We are at Unit 12, The Tram Depot, 38–40 Upper Clapton Road, London E5 8BQ, in the London Borough of Hackney, close to the Lea Bridge roundabout and Millfields Park. Clapton station is a five-minute walk away, with direct trains to Liverpool Street. Buses 106, 253, 254, 393 and 425 stop outside, and the 38 and 56 are a short walk away. See how to find us.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Friday, 49 weeks a year. You can choose long days (8am to 6pm) or short days (10am to 4pm). We close for two weeks at Christmas, four days at Easter, on bank holidays and for three staff training days a year.

How much are your fees?

Fees start from £1,388 a month for three short days a week for children under 3, or £1,702 a month for three long days. Fees are lower for children over 3 and for families using funded hours, and are spread into 12 equal monthly payments. See our full fees.

What is the minimum attendance?

A minimum of three days a week is required. Extra days can sometimes be booked, subject to availability.

Do you accept 15 and 30 hours funded childcare?

Yes. All 3 to 4 year olds can get 15 hours a week, and eligible working families can get up to 30 hours a week from 9 months old.

What do children eat?

Long-day fees include breakfast, lunch, tea and morning and afternoon snacks, made with fresh, local and seasonal produce where possible. Breakfast and tea are not included on short days. The menu is vegetarian but also includes fish. See our food and menus.

What activities are included?

Children enjoy weekly music sessions with Double Bass Dan, football, Forest School and weekly yoga. We also offer weekly swimming sessions from 3 years. Older children have an indoor wooden treehouse and walk-in sandpit. All children make daily trips to Millfields Park and other parks in the surrounding area. We also hold a parents’ and children’s picnic in June and a parents’ and children’s party at Christmas, and we organise special trips throughout the year, for example to soft play, splash pools and the zoo.

How do you help children settle in?

We offer a free, flexible settling-in week. Each child has a key carer who gets to know them and your family, and who is available to talk to you every day.

Do you support children with special educational needs?

Yes. Our curriculum is ambitious for every child, and Ofsted found that all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, make progress from their starting points.

What is your Ofsted rating?

We were rated Good by Ofsted in every area at our last inspection in June 2025. Read our Ofsted report.

Can I visit before applying?

Yes, and we recommend it. Call us on 020 8442 4060 or email info@rosemaryworkseast.co.uk and we’ll arrange a time that suits you. See how to enrol.
