Rosemary Works Early Years Centre was opened in 1997 to provide high quality childcare to the local community and families working in the surrounding areas. We have had consistently good and outstanding outcomes from all OFSTED inspections. The two owners, Kate Jennings and Magalie Billaud both work on site and Magalie has been running the nursery since 1998. We employ well qualified staff, some of whom have been here since the nursery first opened more than 10 years ago. As a result, the nursery care is consistent and there is a welcoming; happy; calm family feel. We offer outstanding care and education for all children between the ages of 3 months and 4 years.
Our nursery is housed in a warehouse along the Regents canal and has been designed and converted from scratch, incorporating many unique and individual features. Our building is bright and airy with big windows overlooking the water where we enjoy the wildlife and water life of the Regents canal. We have a balcony on the canal side where we can play, feed the ducks and plant flowers and herbs. We also have a small playground and a dual purpose soft play and sensory room. The nursery is conveniently located close to two parks which have excellent facilities including a lovely children’s playground and sensory water features. Our older children also walk regularly to the local library and Brittania Leisure Centre for weekly swims.
We are based in a great location en route to the city, Hoxton and Old Street with buses number 76, 21, 141 passing outside the nursery and number 271 within close walking distance. There are cycling or walking paths along the canal from Victoria Park or London Fields which are used by many parents and children who attend the nursery. Old Street tube is 5 minutes by bus or 20 minutes walk.
We have a school located close by with excellent playgrounds and gardens which facilitates children from 4 to 11 years. We have detailed information on Rosemary Works School included in a separate brochure.
